It epitomises the golden age of childhood and of English summers as we once knew them.

Eileen Soper's Illustrated Worlds found on Poole Quay, next to Poole Pottery, bringing childhood to life, featuring illustrations of such literary treasures as The Famous Five, The Secret Seven, Alice in Wonderland and many more...

The sun always shone whenever the Famous Five went on holiday and now it's possible to relive those sunny stories at a new exhibition dedicated to Eileen Soper who drew the pictures for all 21 of Enid Blyton's Famous Five books. Eileen Soper also illustrated Lewis Carroll's Alice In Wonderland and Robert Louis Stevenson's A Child's Garden Of Verses as well as several books from Elizabeth Gould.

Enter through the Secret Seven Windmill and start solving our mystery by finding clues in the Secret Passage! Lose yourself in the Amazing Mirror Maze, with the Cheshire Cat appearing and disappearing as you make your way through.

Special sound spots allow you to hear poems from Robert Louis Stevenson's "A Child's Garden of Verses".
Try creating your own pencil illustrations in the Arts Activity Room.
